

Produced by Paul Butler, this is The Sugars' 3rd release and the first from their album sessions. Released on all 3 formats, the artwork was rendered by Nick Scott.
The lady in the picture is, Laura, a close friend of the band.
On release, it flew in at number 9 in the Indie Charts, beating the Go Team and nestling behind Human League remaining in the top 30 the following week.
Regarded as a live favourite, this early recording was pressed on limited 1000 red vinyl stock. It has since sold out.
XFM's John Kennedy stole the demo from Dazed And Confused after it was submitted for a Long Blondes compilation. It's repeated airplay on John's show was bolstered by 'Single of the Week' on Phil Jupitus' 6Music show.
It made number 6 in the Indie Charts on release.

Due to a demand for the single, Doo-Wop was pressed on CD in August 2006.
The first batch of 200 CD sleeves were designed and hand screened in two colours by Nick Scott with the assistance of The Sugars' own Anna G.
After these quickly sold, another limited batch was made with machine printed cover sleeves.
The first release by both The Sugars and Bad Sneakers, BS001 was a limited 500 press on sweet pink vinyl. Not only was it dinked, it was also hand numbered, stamped and stickered by the band.
Designed by Matt Sugar to mirror the band's obsession with vintage 45's, TV soon became a favourite of many.
Although sold out, it often turns up on ebay.
