It's a new year, there's a spring in the air and we're all very excited this week. Monday sees us enter the studio to record our first long playing record. There's some things you already know and a few suprises that will make the final album.

Jodie has unfortunately still been laid up with her injured wrists, but we have sought solace in an old friend Alex Lewis whose ability with the sticks is more than up to the job. He will be recording the album with us and also heading on the road over the next few weeks so please make him feel welcome.

We'll also be making little films in the studio, so make sure to pop back and also check our myspace for various takes on cabin enduced insanity.

Come and check us out on the road over the next few months and if you're coming to the VOn Bondies dates, please not that we're on pretty early.

 

Thanks for al your support in 2007 and we hope to exceed and confound your expectations in 2008.

Where oh where has 2007 disappeared to? It's flown like Concorde and is about to reach the same fate. Still, it's a year that's been as busy as any other and all of a sudden we feel like we're getting somewhere. Some memorable gigs in big places we'd never imagined, meeting fans from places near and afar who have warmed us when the winter's set in.

So let's look forward to January and the joyous recording prospects a new year brings. Hopefully we'll be spending the first month of 2008 in a basement with Uncle Will carving out the tracks for our debut album currently pencilled as 'The Curse Of..' Fitting don't you think? It's a prospect that makes us all giddy with excitement.

The first track to be released in the New Year is likely to be the heavy dancefloor beats of 'Black Friday', scheduled for release in April.

Jodie is back on the mend as a few of you may have seen in Leeds last night and although we had lots of fun on the road with Screech, it's nice to be back as the trio we started as.

You probably won't see us out and about until the album is pretty much in the can, so have a fabulous Xmas and a delicious New Year....

Welcome to The Sugars spanking new site.. In this section we'll be keeping you up to date with all things sweet, including various offers, gigs and all our recording efforts. And probably the odd rant.

There'll also be a blog up here soon for when we're on the road or are bored in the studio, that kind of thing.

Jodie is back in the warehouse rehearsing with us at the moment so we're all looking forward to a happier Christmas than we first envisaged.
